How to choose a shaving oil

If you are looking for the perfect shaving oil for you, you need to take some factors into account.

INGREDIENTS

The ingredients of a shaving oil are the first thing I check when I make my purchases. They must be absolutely natural because I don't want to do damage.

There are two types of oils whose presence is important in such a product, perhaps you have already heard of them: essential oils and carrier oils.

The former are highly concentrated oils that usually do not apply directly to the hair or skin. We need precisely the carrier oils, which do nothing but convey them to avoid irritation. In short, they always go hand in hand because the carrier oil has the function of "diluting" the essential one.

PS: if you've read or heard about "carrier oils", they are nothing but carrier oils with a translation problem from English ("carrier oils").

Examples of carrier oils are jojoba oil, argan oil, sweet almond oil and even coconut oil. These oils are often used for pain relief treatments and anti-pain massages.

Examples of essential oils are lavender oil, peppermint oil, eucalyptus oil and tea tree oil (also called melaleuca oil).

TYPE OF HAIR AND LEATHER

I think it's more than clear and there is no need for explanations, but I'll give you the same.

Every oil is different, they don't all work the same way. What need was there to have so many if they were all the same, right?

Maybe those that are great for me, go badly for you and vice versa.

If you have a dry skin and beard, check before buying that the oil is suitable for dry skin and dry beard. The same goes for skin and fat beard.

Example: a friend of mine bought I don't remember which herbal oil because, he said, "I like the smell!" I won't tell you the bad effect he got, he came to me for advice. The serious problem is that he had taken an argan oil product (perfect for dry skin and beard) when his beard is fat …

THE BRAND AND THE QUALITY STANDARDS

Yes, the brand is very important. A good if not excellent brand means guarantee. There are no saints.

Guys, we're talking about health products, which are applied directly to the face. I don't want to save and risk, I prefer to spend the right money and get a shaving oil that respects the rules and quality standards.

So, since we are in Italy and usually the products are made here in Europe, check that they conform to the quality standard of cosmetic products.

As part of the cosmetics category, shaving oil must respect the INCI, an international abbreviation used in all member states of the European Union, in the United States of America, in Russia, in Canada and in many others.

The acronym stands for THEnternational Nomenclature of Cosmetic THEngredients, and means that the cosmetic products must by law carry the list of ingredients according to this denomination on the label.

THE PRICE

Taking into account what I've written so far, you have to be careful about the price.

As always, high price does not necessarily mean very good product, so as low price does not mean poor product. The ingredients, your needs and finally the brand decide the price.

Surely, however, the best ones cost more, there is no doubt. And as with anything, the price is worth the whole product.

CONTAINER DIMENSIONS

The sizes available on the market vary and so I have to give you some advice.

If you are a beginner, if you are taking your first steps into the world of shaving oils, maybe don't buy the 3 liter bottle directly πŸ˜€

Give yourself some proof once you understand what might be right for you.

Start with a small bottle, apply the oil and over time see if it is oil for you.

Clear that if you are in love with the madness of a specific product, you can decide to buy the entire stock, as you have absolutely no doubt!

Always keep in mind that we are talking about natural products and have a deadline.
