◊ Play endless sentence

The first says a word, the next repeats it and adds another, the next repeats everything from the beginning and adds an additional word, and so on. A story without a tail (or a head?) And a good one memory exercise.

◊ Mime

Hush! When we mime, we don’t not allowed to speak. It’s your turn to start: imagine the beautiful ball in your hands. Play for a moment with: dribble, put it on your nose, throw it up in the air and catch it … then delicately entrust it to your child, always silently.

It is up to him to continue bringing this ball to life before passing it to the player following. When the form is exhausted, choose another: a long stick, a large box, a cloth…

3 things to do with paper and pencils

◊ Funny guys

Cut out an A4 sheet in 2 in the direction of the height, to obtain 2 strips of paper. Each player receives a strip and takes it vertically. Up, he draws a head. Then he folds the strip to hide his design, leaving only the bottom (here, the neck).

The next player continues the guy by adding a bust, then he folds the tape in turn for the next to draw the legs, and the feet to finish.

The older ones will put it More details : hat, scarf, pockets, handbag, lace-up shoes… funny creature ! Can we find a name for it?

For older children : place your child in front of a sheet, felt in hand. Place a small mirror on the table behind his sheet so that the child can see his hand and his sheet.

Prohibition then to look at what we trace elsewhere than in the mirror. So quirky, this house?

3 things to do with what’s in the kitchen

◊ Jewelry with straws

Cut out colored straws in small pieces (the child can completely handle the scissors himself) and make bracelets and necklaces by threading them on strings.

◊ A race with boxes of cereals

Cut out the two large sides of a cardboard cereal box. Demarcate a journey through the kitchen. At the start, the player places a card on the ground and puts his right foot on it. Then he places the second box side by side, and puts his left foot on it. And so on until arrival.

It is forbidden to put both feet on the same box or to jump to advance the box. If there are multiple players and multiple boxes of grain, organize a race !

◊ Modeling with salt dough

For color salt dough, nothing could be simpler. If you want it to stay « edible« (It’s still very salty!), Use food coloring. Otherwise, from the gouache in tube is enough. Just have a ball of « neutral » dough and a ball of colored dough.

It’s a good constraint to solicit more children’s creativity. Shape small subjects. The next day, cook in the oven at 100 ° C (the cooking time varies according to the size of the modeling).

3 things to do with what’s in the bathroom

◊ Play soccer with cotton

Lightweight ! Lightweight ! Who will arrive at blow hard enough on the piece of cotton to mark « a goal » at his opponent’s, on the other side of the table? Pfffff!

For the taller, if we are not afraid to transform our kitchen into a swimming pool, we can organize a race : who will have poured out a liter of water as quickly as possible?

3 things to do as a group

◊ Theater

A situation is given and everyone improvised on the subject. Suggestions of situations: we arrive at the school and we realize that we are still in pajamas / We are waiting the bus and it starts to rain very hard / The heating stops and it starts to do very cold in the house / At the restaurant, instead of the entrance, we are given dessert …

You will be surprised how much children are fine observers from the adult world… The little ones will be delighted to replay everyday situations, without adding a disturbing element. For example: it’s morning, we’re getting ready to go to school.

◊ Kim’s game

Very diverse objects are gathered on the kitchen table. Everyone takes the time to observe them well, then we close our eyes. The playmaker actually disappear a. The others must find the one who disappeared as quickly as possible.

Variant : one player goes out, and the others change something in their physical appearance: an unbuttoned waistcoat, a removed barrette, a pair of raised glasses, exchanged slippers… Will he notice it?
