Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone! We’re at Andrew’s parents’ house for the holiday weekend. Tomorrow we’re going shopping for Christmas dinner stuffs and making some fun crafts with the kiddos. I’m pretty sure I’m more excited for the kids to unwrap their gifts than they are, but all they really know is that there were toys in the house they weren’t allowed to play with that mysteriously disappeared and now there are things covered in paper and ribbon and bows that would be fun to tear apart but they can’t play with those either.

I love making candy cane bark, but this year I wanted to make something super quick and easy. I decided to use almond bark instead of chocolate, and I’ve been pretty happy with the results.
Ingredients
- 1 box of 12 candy canes
- 1 lb of almond bark, two different flavors (I used a 1/2 lb of chocolate and a 1/2 lb of vanilla)

Tonight I have photography class, the last class of the semester! I just need to turn in my last assignment, some contact sheets and my portfolio. And that’s all, I’ll be done! So ready for winter break. I have no idea what I’m going to do with myself for the next month now that I’ll have actual free time. How about read something I’m not required to, take pictures that aren’t a part of an assignment, write because I feel like it and not trying to meet a word minimum? Sounds quite lovely.
I can’t believe it’s less than two weeks until Christmas! We’re done shopping, just waiting for all of the shipments to arrive. I already have boxes and boxes of gifts that need to be wrapped. I’m contemplating getting some wrapping done this weekend and then finishing up the rest Christmas weekend, or just waiting for all of the gifts to arrive and doing it once…
