On Tuesday, May 31st, Andrew, Claire, Logan, my older sister Rachel and I went to the North Carolina Museum of Life and Sciences. It was tons of fun and so awesome. It’s huge and has so much stuff, and this post is going to be crazy long and very image heavy because of that.

After the Memorial Day BBQ in northern Virginia and the birthday cookout at grandpa Cartwright’s at Lake Gaston we stopped in Durham, NC on our way home on I-85 to visit my older sister, Rachel. She moved down there back in January and we’d been meaning to pop by and visit the area.

We got there Monday night and didn’t leave until Thursday afternoon. We stayed a lot longer than we intended, but it was nice to just visit. Rachel and I have an affinity for Chinese buffets, and there is a particularly awesome one (“Home of the mile long buffet” turned out to be a rather accurate slogan) just down the road from her house that we visited twice. Don’t judge.

Rachel and Logan watching a movie on Netflix. I’m pretty sure it was The Horde, a French zombie movie that was okay but not great.

Andrew got in the pool as soon as we got there. I love that second photo, even though he hates it.
